About Us

Richard Legge BA (Syd), Dip Ed (Syd)

For twenty years, I have been involved in education. I studied as a secondary school teacher, graduating in 1993 and commencing my first full-time teaching position in 1994. I spent my first ten years teaching Languages Other Than English (LOTE) in a number of secondary schools in New South Wales. During this time, I became interested in education management and administration, so I began to seek an alternative path to classroom teaching.

My opportunity came in 2005, when I commissioned as an Education Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. I became a subject matter expert (SME) for education-related matters and was responsible for implementing training policy and delivering trainer and assessor courses. In addition to this, my roles included standardising training and assessment documents and procedures.

In 2010, I left the Permanent Air Force to become the Training Manager at the community college in Sale, Victoria (then called ACES). I took on the role of developing training and assessment policy in accordance with the provisions of a Registered Training Organisation, as well as responsibility for staff and student management at the college. During this period, I actively continued to practice as a teacher, delivering community language courses and developing community-based training courses and associated curriculum documents.

In 2011, I elected to become a full-time parent, which enabled me to resume my work with the Air Force in a reserve capacity, where I continue to invest in training quality and e-learning projects.

During these two decades, I have amassed a wealth of experience in training development, professional development and staff/student administration. The education and training world is exciting and dynamic. I enjoy the challenge of providing training solutions to suit any environment and to equip trainers and assessors with the skills and experience to excel in their roles.
